Expression - When what God has formed in you refuses to stay hidden

What You Carry Wants Form, yet We wait to feel certain before we speak. But that’s not how this works. Your voice doesn’t come after confidence. It comes before it and it forms in real time. Through:

• trying to say what you mean

• saying it imperfectly

• realizing what was true and what wasn’t

• refining, not from strategy but from honesty

Your voice is not something you “find,” it is something you allow.

There is a point in Becoming where silence stops feeling like safety and starts feeling like disobedience. Not loud disobedience, not rebellion. Just a quiet knowing:

There is something in me that is no longer meant to stay unseen.

What God Forms in Secret Does Not Stay There Forever

There is a pattern God follows. He forms in hidden places and in seasons where: nothing makes sense, you feel unseen, this is when you are being stripped of what once defined you. It feels like loss. It feels like confusion. It feels like being set aside. But it is not absence.

And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Not always with things. Sometimes with clarity of self and clarity of assignment.

No one really talks about this part. We talk about purpose. We talk about calling. We talk about “walking boldly.” But we don’t talk about the moment where you realize:

• You can no longer pretend not to see what God has shown you

• You can no longer shrink back into who you used to be

• You can no longer explain away what you now understand

And that realization is not exciting. It is weighty. Because expression means:

• you might be misunderstood

• you might outgrow spaces you once belonged to

• you might have to stand in truths that are not convenient

This is where many people go quiet again, not because they are lost, but because they understand the cost of being seen clearly. 

~The Servant Who Buried What Was Given~

There is a story many people read too quickly, The parable of the talents.

The servant who buried what he was given did not lose it out of rebellion, He hid it out of fear. “I was afraid so I went and hid your talent in the ground.”

Fear doesn’t always look like running away. Sometimes it looks like:

• overthinking

• delaying

• waiting for perfect clarity

• convincing yourself “it’s not time yet”

But underneath it is the same thing:

What if I am seen and it is not received?

So you keep it safe. You keep it inside. But what God places in you was never meant to be protected into silence. What You Carry Wants Form. For a long time, it lived as:

• thoughts you couldn’t fully explain

• feelings you couldn’t justify

• ideas that felt too premature to share

So you held them. Refined them in silence. Questioned them. Doubted them. Protected them. But there is a shift that happens ~quiet, but undeniable. You begin to realize: This is not just a passing thought, this is something I carry. And what you carry is not meant to stay formless forever. 

Not everything you hold is meant for the world. But some things? They keep returning. They keep pressing. They keep asking for space. 

That is how you know.

Expression Will Expose You—Before It Affirms You

This part here requires honesty. When you begin to express what is within you, It will not immediately feel powerful. It will feel vulnerable Because now: -your thoughts have form, - now your voice has direction, -now your perspective has weight

And that means it can be: questioned, misunderstood, and rejected

Even Jesus was not received by everyone.

He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.

So why do we expect that truth flowing through us will always be comfortable for others?

Expression is not about being loud, It is about being faithful to what has been entrusted to you. There are things God shows you that are not random and the way you see, The way you discern,

The way certain truths won’t leave you alone, That is not personality. That is stewardship. And stewardship requires expression, not perfectly, not loudly, but TRUTHFULLY.

Not Everything You Carry Is for Everyone

This is where peace comes in, Because part of the fear of expression is the need to be received by all But even in scripture, there was always distinction.

• Some heard and understood

• Some heard and walked away

Your responsibility is not to make everyone understand. Your responsibility is to not dilute what is true just to be accepted. 

When You Don’t Express, It Doesn’t Disappear

This is the quiet reality many live with. You can ignore what is within you. You can delay it. You can silence it. But it doesn’t go away. It keeps showing up as:

• restlessness

• dissatisfaction

• a sense of being “misplaced” in your own life

Because something within you knows:

I was meant to move. I was meant to be used. I was meant to take form.

Before this phase, your growth was personal. Now it becomes visible. And once something becomes visible, you can no longer pretend you don’t see it. You become accountable to:

• what you know

• what you carry

• and what you release into the world

There is something sacred about this phase, because it is no longer just about healing, understanding, or aligning. It is about responding.

Responding to what God has already placed within you.

“For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”

Not because it is easy. But because at some point silence stops being peace and starts becoming resistance. You don’t have to force expression. And you don’t have to rush it.

But when something within you keeps asking to be said, keeps asking to take form,It is no longer just about you.
